The group draws its repertoire and sound from some of the more obscure Bluegrass groups of the 1950s – defining years for this musical genre, which developed as a branch of Country music, strongly influenced by Gospel, Swing and Blues, and played an important role in the birth of Rockabilly.The Truffle Valley Boys perform authentic Bluegrass in the most uncompromising way, around a single microphone and using period instrumentation, with the utmost attention to musical and aesthetic details, a fiery drive and a healthy dose of good-natured entertainment!Since its founding in 2014, the band has appeared at most major Bluegrass, Country and Rockabilly music festivals and events in Europe, and travels thousands of miles each year touring. They have been featured in the foremost trade magazines of the field, such as Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Today, and their records have received enthusiastic reviews and airplay on radio stations all over the world.
